Flammability test of IJM411 Océ Universal Artist Canvas
Flammability is defined as how easily something will burn or ignite, causing fire or combustion. The degree of difficulty required to cause the combustion of a substance is quantified through fire testing.
IJM411 Océ Universal Artist Canvas is tested according to DIN 4102 and received a B1 qualification (difficult to ignite/often self-extinguishing). The weight of this canvas media is 370 g/m². It is made of 100% cotton. It is acid-free and covered with a multi platform inkjet coating. This natural canvas is suitable for indoor usage.
To show the flame retardancy aspect in comparison with a non-flame retardant canvas, Océ has video recorded the Lady in Red conducting a fire test.
Better safe than sorry. Use Océ flame retardant canvas!
