Océ set to strengthen position in color printing market
Introducing new leading printing systems at US trade show
Chicago, United States / Venlo, The Netherlands, 10 September 2007 — Océ, a global leader in digital document management, is set to strengthen its position in the color printing market with the introduction today of two new leading printing systems at the Graph Expo trade show in Chicago, United States. The US accounts for nearly 45% of Océ total worldwide sales.
The new Océ ColorStream™ 10000 digital continuous feed printer prints 172 full-color images per minute and over 5 million full-color lettersize images per month, making it the world's fastest toner-based ful-color printer for Graphic Arts. The Océ ColorStream 10000 targets graphic arts services and large corporations. Océ is providing flexible continuous feed printers to the market, that enable customers to rapidly print one color or multiple colors on the same machine. This new leading printing system is developed and manufactured by Océ in Germany. In the US, Océ is leading the market for continuous feed printing systems.
In addition, the company announced in Chicago the introduction of the Océ Color System CS550, a new 55 page-per-minute printing system targeting commercial and in-house print operations. With the Océ Color System CS550, quick printers and corporate printrooms can pursue new opportunities involving high-quality production color and inline finishing.
The introduction of these new printing systems at Graph Expo demonstrates Océ's strategy of continuous innovation of technology and printing systems, to support its customers' business.
In 2006 in the high volume cutsheet production printing market, Océ's VarioPrint® 6250 was introduced, a digital printer based upon the revolutionary Océ Gemini Instant Duplex technology. Océ CS9060 high quality indoor/outdoor eco-solvent inkjet printer
At Graph Expo, Océ exhibits the Océ CS9060. This wide format printing system creates indoor and outdoor display graphic prints for customers entering the digital printing market or companies that are already active in this market and want to expand their production capacity.
